CarnoZinc Select™ contains 75 mg of  Zinc-L-Carnosine, a natural compound that has been extensively researched for helping to support gastric comfort and repair.

Zinc-L-Carnosine (also referred to in the literature as Polaprezinc or Z-103) consists of two natural components bonded to each other: elemental zinc, an essential mineral, and L-carnosine, a dipeptide consisting of two amino acids, beta alanine and L-histidine.

Zinc-L-Carnosine is a highly stable compound, capable of resisting degradation by stomach acid until after it has adhered to the stomach lining, upon which it dissociates. Once separated from their chelated bond, the zinc and L-carnosine components of Zinc-L-Carnosine may exert both individual and synergistic effects including antioxidant and immune benefits, wound healing, and support for a healthy inflammation response. Zinc-L-Carnosine also has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on Helicobacter pylori and is widely appreciated for exhibiting high clinical efficacy without serious side effects.
