About the speaker

Dr. Armin Schwarzbach, MD

Dr. Armin Schwarzbach, MD, has worked in the field of laboratory medicine and infectious diseases for more than 30 years and in 2015 created his own laboratory in Augsburg, Germany which has developed in leaps and bounds since then. He has become a world expert in his field and has lectured around the world on his subject. Today his laboratory has 30 employees and provides medical testing services for practitioners in more than 150 countries. ArminLabs is doing around 500 samples processing every day for Lyme and coinfected patients. Over the years, ArminLabs has done laboratory tests for over 150,000 Lyme and coinfected patients worldwide.

ArminLabs is accredited by German Accreditation Authorities DAkkS and by USA Accreditation CAP and CLIA.

Armin studied Pharmacy and Medicine at the University of Mainz Department of Endocrinology and after completing his PhD in 1992 on “Analytical Assay for the detection of human Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide (hGIP) by Radioimmunoassay“. He developed the first worldwide test system for human GIP he obtained his qualification to practice as a medical doctor in 1993, and then in 1997 he obtained further degree as a Specialist of Laboratory Medicine.

He gained his laboratory and medical experience working in different hospitals and laboratories in Limburg, Koblenz, Munich, Augsburg and Weisbaden up until 2006 when he joined BCA Laboratory and became its CEO, up until 2015.

Wanting to develop his own range of specialist tests to help practitioners better address the diagnosis of chronic infections, ArminLabs was created in 2015 and he has been its CEO and Managing Director until this day.

As a member of the German Society for Specialists of Laboratory Medicine, Board Member of German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine, the German Borreliosis Society, The Swiss Association for Tick-borne diseases and the Australasian Integrative Medicine Association, member and former Board member of ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society) USA since 2005.
